Features of The Financial Edition Subscription

PhoCusWright's Financial Flash

PhoCusWright's Financial Flash is home to short, highly topical points affecting the economics of the travel industry. Industry news, happenings and events will frequently warrant discourse from PhoCusWright analysts and their commentary is posted in this forum. Subscribers are invited to comment on these postings.

Monthly Publication

A feature article based on timely topics will be posted each month. Themes will include: travel distribution economics (booking fees, GDS-Airline deals and commission structures), trends in capital markets (M&A environment, IPO outlook and valuation implications), industry pricing outlook (how will hotel and airline discounting impact everything from online agents to GDSs), and industry profit trends (looking beyond the topline to decipher how emerging issues impact margins, cash flows and the balance sheet)

Monthly Data Feed

An aggregation of travel industry metrics in one convenient place, overlaid with analyst commentary on relevance and projections that put you ahead of the curve. Metrics will include key demand factors like air traffic, airfares, hotel room nights, average daily rates and online travel site traffic. On the supply side metrics will include air capacity, airline load, hotel construction and hotel occupancy. Data will also include proprietary surveys tracking trends in things like room rates and cross-channel price comparisons.

Quarterly Publications

A detailed review of trends and projections following the end of each quarter for the online travel agents. Topics will include competitive dynamics, topline performance, profitability and how recent performance impacts the outlook for the coming quarter and year. 

Client Communication/Online Events
